Ah, Cheap Trick! I went to see them long ago. Love their music. Have fun at the concert.
I never have seen Cheap Trick, Bonnie, but I like the band's sound and always have wanted to be in the right place at the right time to attend a concert. You can bet your last dollar that I will have fun.

The concert will be Saturday evening. It is at a resort and casino about a two-hour drive away -- Treasure Island. What a name for a casino, hah? I might make a day and a night of it .... or a night and a day .... or a day and a night and a day .... all right. I will be quiet now.

August 31 will be my absolute final day here, but it could be I will leave a few days before that depending upon the circumstances.
Actually, I am uncertain about maintaining communications. I will be carrying my laptop with me, and I bought a Blackberry yesterday, so I might set that up for email. I think I will have a busy last week here figuring out solutions to things like communications.
Hi Fram.Glad you understand my work..somedays it is nothing to do..other days plenty..It is hard to stay awake ..we are not allowed to sleep..so the internett is a good solution sometimes..but My job..helse bergen watches all the things we do..and sometimes they kick us of the internett..loosing money they say hah!

Yes, the same is true in prison and security work. There are routine tasks to perform, but unless something extraordinary happens, much of the night is spent in conversation or reading or wandering the internet.
Yes, I did buy a Blackberry and already have visited your blog with it. I tried to leave a short comment, but could not sign in for some reason. I guess I need to study and practice with it. I probably will find another form of email service, but I am not certain. I do not like gmail or yahoo mail, I need to look around. As for posting, I would not do that with the Blackberry. I need a real keyboard to work with anything longer than a sentence or two.
Yes, I was smiling. And, no, I have not done much of it this summer. Traveling is enjoyable, but right now I would prefer to have a year or two of stability and calmness. I want to be writing without thinking about all the elements involved with travel. If I could decide upon a place to perch for a while, I would do it. I could use a room with a window which reveals a beautiful view of nature, a woman who is happy and smiles for me, and a shooting range in the backyard.

I misunderstood. I thought by "up and down love" you meant infatuation (or some such) as opposed to actual love. Anyway, no relationship is without ups and downs, good times and bad times, enjoyment and turmoil, so all love hurts, methinks ....
"We are all all right but this is our last chance" .... I had a few things in mind when I wrote those words, Anita. The simplest element were some lyrics from the song, "Under Pressure." When I run a photograph or a painting, with some words and a song or two, they are all linked to one another according to the way I am thinking at that moment. Look at the painting, read the words and listen to the lyrics of the song. Each is a part of the whole.
It would take a lengthy post to explain everything going through my mind when I wrote those words. Maybe, another time, I will say more.
