Cyndi Lauper... Her first album was "She is so unusual." And she is unusual! I know that she was an actress also besides being a song writer and a singer but I don't remember movies she acted.

She is really good at singing and I like your choice of songs from Cyndi Lauper, Fram.

Have a nice week!

Anita .... "Happy Morsdag," to you.

I hope your day is wonderful and happy and that Alexander remembered it for you and gives you a special holiday. It appears you will have to accept a raincheck from me in terms of flowers and candy. I am not in a position to ask Hermodr to deliver them for me, but I do send wishes for tranquility and good fortune.

Actually .... the first Cyndi Lauper song I recall hearing was, "Girls Just Want to Have Fun." I immediately liked it and it continues to be my favorite among her songs. I do not think I ever have heard the Chromatic rendition of it before now. My second favorite in Cyndi's musical "repertoire" is, "I Drove All Night."

Cyndi is ten years younger than Mick Jagger, and possibly she will go on forever, too. I would love to see them perform "I Drove ...." together and, better yet, "Gimme Shelter." If the two of them collided while dancing on stage, I wonder which would survive? I would put money on her.

I have a feeling my week will be pretty much the same as my Sunday is turning out to be .... snow, snow and more snow. Three to five inches are predicted for today; I woke up to about three on the ground and it still is coming down. How many times can I go "uffff?"

Once again, Anita, thank you, for your presence here and your words here and for being you .... later ....

I never have thought of Cyndi Lauper as anyone other than a musician and a singer -- some would add dancer, and, I guess, I would, too, but not part of the Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers school of dance.

Stretching my memory banks in every direction imaginable, I cannot recall ever seeing her on a screen when she was not performing a song. Although she is listed as a composer, I could come up with only two songs credited to her and a number of others where she is named as a co-writer. Anyway, your comment caused me to do a bit of research, Kaya, and that is always good for me.

I do like her singing and love her stage antics, which make her sort of special in my eyes and very unique among both women and men. I never have seen a live performance by Cyndi, and very much hope I will be able to do so before she decides to throw in the towel. Then again, she might go on forever ....

Thank you, Kaya, for coming today and writing a comment for me. You should be here with your camera today -- ducks and geese are flying low by the dozens through a snow-filled sky. Wonderful sight ....

Cyndi Lauper is a true comic genius and a terrific singer, from my point of view, CiL. She is near the top of my list for performers I wish to see live on stage before she goes or I go or whatever. I am glad you like her, too.

Thank you, CiL, for coming here and for your comment here. Live long and prosper, to borrow a line from your friend and mine ....

Something special ....
