This one is near-museum quality in many respects. Obtaining it, for me, was nothing less than remarkable. Too many people, I am sure, such an acquistion would mean little, but, again, to me, someone who has an affinity for firearms and who thinks of them as possessing their own form of manitou, it is like finding a lost friend from long ago.

It probably will be impossible to trace the history of this revolver beyond what I already know, but I am going to search in a few directions just on the chance something will turn up. As some say: Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

What really pleases me is that, barring the unforeseen, this Lightning will go from me to my son and onward into the future. It is now part of my identity and I am part of its persona.

Another point: I thought it fascinating that this post was among the three or four which numerically have had the greatest "audience" of any since the beginning of my blog, yet no one had left a comment until you returned home and came to visit me. I am curious .... I wonder why so many came, but not one commented. Well, as Jim Morrison noted, "People are strange."

And, yes, I enjoy the songs of this group, The Three Degrees, especially the piece in the previous post, "When Will I See You Again?" It is meaningful and beautiful, I think. I am pleased that you liked the music.

I am glad you are home again, too, Smareis, and have found your way back to my blog. Thank you, for being here and for writing a comment.Fram Actualhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01540773153894050197noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8989613902205547683.post-88163417528945798442015-07-08T06:22:21.340+02:002015-07-08T06:22:21.340+02:00Não conhecia a musica.

Smareishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04480560906841229369noreply@blogger.com
