No words from me, only a passing rainbow

"Catch the Rainbow"
by Ronnie James Dio & Ritchie Blackmore

She'll run to me
Like whispered dreams
Your eyes can't see
Soft and warm
She'll touch my face
A bed of straw
Against the lace

We believed we'd catch the rainbow
Ride the wind to the sun
Sail away on ships of wonder
But life's not a wheel
With chains made of steel
So bless me come the dawn
Come the dawn

Passing like a rainbow?
Did I hear a few notes from music by Bach in the beginning? Or was this only my imagination....

Greetings!!!!

Thank you, Anita, for visiting me and for listening to the song. It is sort of a different one, but a neat one.

Very mysterious things happen on my blog, Daliana. That a comment should disappear is not unusual. I suspect it became lost while treading the maze, and will arrive sooner or later.

I like Rainbow, too, and I love this song, but, that said, it has a bit too much guitar work even for me and the lyrics seem to be unfinished -- a few sentences, rather than a complete story.

Yes, Roger Waters and Pink Floyd are among only a handful of truly great musicians/bands.

How am I, she asks? Actually, I think I will never know.

Oh, Bach, Beethoven and Renaissance music are among the favorites of Ritchie Blackmore, Monika. Listen to the compositions by his bands -- primarily those from Deep Purple and Rainbow -- and its presence peeks out here and there along the way.

Rainbows and music stir the imagination, but, in this instance, none is required.

Something special ....
